THOSE OF YOU
WHO CELEBRATE IT!
I had the strangest Thanksgiving today. For starters, we went out to eat instead of all converging at my grandparent's house. It would be kind of hard to eat there this year, as they are currently in a FEMA trailer the size of my bedroom. So we all went to Ryan's and I ate myself to the point of dizzyness. After that, we all went back to my grandparent's house and watched as my uncle Andy demolished my grandparent's ruined trailer with a backhoe. You have not seen something so undescribable until you've seen a trailer completely flattened and all of the glass and insulation and wood paneling in a towering pile by the road. It was so strangely sad and at the same time, it wasn't. It felt like a new beginning. Sorry if that sounds really cheesy, but this time next year, my grandparents shall have a new house that was built completely free.
So, yeah, it was a really surreal holiday. Thank God the next holiday is a month away. Oh, and tomorrow? Biggest shopping day of the year and no one in my family is going. Makes me really wish I could drive. Sigh. I could knock out all of my holiday shopping in one fell swoop, except for
